This enables the non-profit to address every aspect of the music making process. Participants build instruments, play them, and record their performances. These performances will be further developed into the songwriting domain. The final outcome will result in a compact disc that documents participants’ contributions to the group and level of individual mastery.
By blending ancient drum making techniques with state-of-the-art technology, this non-profit provides a unique and comprehensive program that can enrich all traditional academic subjects. The RhythmVision program provides opportunities that reveal the life long learning process. Social skills, self-expression and a general sense of music-making will be imparted as participants learn to work as a team, critically think, and problem solve through a fun low-risk creative endeavor. By building (instrument making), creating something with what was built (music circle facilitation), and shaping performances into audio events (songwriting/recording), participants can compose/memorialize their experiences directly to CD. The CD will be available to the client for fundraising purposes.
